Health & Safety Protocols

With your comfort and safety at the top of our priority list, we would like to inform you of the enhanced health & safety protocols that are taking place in each of our four studio locations!

Before Each Lesson:

  • We are sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, (door knobs, piano keys, etc.)

  • We are ensuring that there is enough time in between lessons to properly sanitize. For example, we are leaving at least 5-10 minutes in between back-to-back lessons.

  • We are providing hand sanitizer to students in each studio classroom.

During Each Lesson:

  • Faculty and staff are wearing masks.

  • We are asking adults to exercise caution, consideration, common sense, and frequent hand-washing. In compliance with the edict from Buncombe County (& barring any formal exemptions), we ask that adults & children 12+ wear masks while in our buildings.

  • Children under the age of 11 are not required to wear masks; we leave this to the parents' discretion.

  • When possible, we kindly ask that family members and caregivers a) wait in their cars, or b) follow current social distancing guidelines while in the waiting room.

After Each Lesson, we are...

  • Providing hand sanitizer to students.

  • Sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, (door knobs, piano keys, etc.)

  • Ensuring that there is enough time in between lessons to properly sanitize (as described above).

Additional Preventive Measures and Reminders:

  • Please remember to bring a personal pencil to lessons.

  • You are welcome to bring a water bottle (and set it by your lesson room door, away from the musical instruments). No food is allowed in the music classrooms.

  • We are working with our landlords to ensure each location has optimum air circulation.

  • We have posted flyers at each location to support ongoing protocol practice.

As always, we welcome your feedback and will be updating this list as needed. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns (regarding COVID-19 or in any area of Piano Lab).
